Fiber-optic work successful!

Thanks to the help of a few neighbours on the island the work on the lower portion of the Center-Bay to West Bay fiber optic link was successful. The link strength is the same and now the cable is much less likely to be damaged during windstorms (not that we *ever* have any of those on the island.....)

West Bay Landing outage for May 29th

I will be protecting a section of the fiber optic line that provides service to those in the West Bay Landing community by running it through conduit and burying it. This means though that we will have to disconnect that section of the network for a while tomorrow while we do this work.

This change will help protect this link from falling trees or rouge vehicles.
