G.R.I.P. Outage of May 6th

There was an outage today lasting from the early morning until about 3:30pm. This was caused by an accident in the construction on the sea-to-sky highway early today that cut the trunk links for all services for all providers except power.

I do not yet know what shape the accident took, but the result was a long outage of phone, internet and cable in a wide area north of Horseshoe Bay, including Lions's Bay, where the G.R.I.P. Network joins the rest of the world.

So, nothing actually went wrong with the G.R.I.P. Network itself or any individual receivers.... there was just no way to pass traffic to the internet itself.

Hope that clears up any confusion - if not let me know!
